Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your engagement with RLR Roofer (Roof Leaking Repair (RLR Roofer)) for roof inspection, repair, waterproofing, and related services in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, Malaysia. By booking any service with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We provide roof leak repair, roof waterproofing, metal roof repair, PU injection waterproofing, leak detection and inspection, gutter and downpipe repair, and emergency roof repair services. The specific scope of any job is defined in the written repair quote we issue after our onsite inspection.

2. Onsite Inspection Fee

Our standard onsite inspection fee is RM30. This fee covers the technician's time, travel, diagnostic tools, and a written repair quote. If you approve the repair quote we provide, the RM30 inspection fee is fully waived and absorbed into the final repair cost. If you choose not to proceed, the RM30 is payable in full at the end of the inspection.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All repair work is quoted in writing before any work begins. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Any changes to the scope of work will be discussed and re-quoted before additional work is carried out. You will never be billed for work you have not agreed to in writing.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due on completion of the agreed scope of work unless other terms have been agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer, e-wallet, and cash. We do not accept credit card payments at this time. For larger projects, we may require a deposit as set out in the quote.

5. Workmanship Warranty

We provide a workmanship warranty on all repairs, as specified in each written quote. Warranty coverage varies by repair type and materials used. The warranty covers the specific repair area and does not extend to pre-existing issues in adjacent areas of the roof that were not part of the original scope. The warranty is voided if unauthorised work is carried out on the repaired area by another party.

6. Access and Safety

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the site during the scheduled work. Our technicians follow standard roofing safety practices. For safety reasons, we will not perform permanent repairs on wet, slippery roofs during active storms or when conditions are unsafe. In such cases, we will provide temporary containment and return at the earliest safe opportunity.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed under the agreed scope. We are not liable for pre-existing interior damage (such as ceiling plaster, timber, or finishes) caused by leaks prior to our engagement, or for consequential damage outside our control. Where interior damage is caused by our work, we will take reasonable steps to rectify it as part of our workmanship warranty.

8. Cancellation

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations within 12 hours may be subject to the RM30 call-out charge if a technician has already been dispatched. Emergency call-outs have their own terms, which will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be handled under Malaysian jurisdiction.
